Apply for a Center for Dairy Excellence (CDE) Dairy Decisions Consultant Grant today. Dairy farms can receive up to $4,000 in funds to work one-on-one with an approved consultant in making decisions that will shape the future of their farm.

What You Need to Know

  • This grant is exclusively for Pennsylvania dairy farms with 35 cows or more.
  • At least 50% of your gross income must come from the farm to be eligible.
  • Farms are eligible to receive the DDC Grant once every three years.
  • DDC consultations can work with farms in one of seven key areas: Employee Management & Communication, Business Planning & Structure, Product Marketing & Labeling, Direct Marketing, Animal Welfare, Financial Management, and Pre-Farm Transition.
  • Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until exhausted.
  • The Center directly pays DDCs up to $4,000; farms cover any balance exceeding the allotted funds.
  • There is a $100 application fee.

How to Get Started

  1. Figure out your goals for your dairy farm. Do you want to shift to selling directly to consumers? Do you want to grow an existing business or start a new one?
  2. Fill out the online application for a DDC Grant and pay the $100 application fee. For business consulting, name KTC consultant Evan Driscoll. For marketing projects, name Noah Munro as your consultant of choice to work with Taste Profit.
  3. Once you get approved* by the Center for Dairy Excellence, contact us so we can start working on your project!
